Here is Miss R and Mr N with our hamster. This is as close as any of us has gotten to "Zippy". We are all a little skittish with such a small animal that runs so fast. Any time his nails touch the kids, they drop the ball. I can't imagine if they held him for real. Marc and Miss M have both tried to reach into the cage and touch him and he (Zippy) has nipped at them. We are hoping that by holding him in the ball, he will get used to our smell and eventually we will be able to hold him.

For now, he runs ALL NIGHT is his wheel and we put him out twice a day in his ball to run around the house for 20-30 minutes.
